Spring Lake Park Basketball is excited to introduce the Junior Panthers Basketball Camp, a fun and energetic program designed especially for our youngest future Panthers. Kids will learn basketball fundamentals, build confidence, and have fun in a positive and encouraging environment.
π¦π§ WHO CAN PARTICIPATE
The Junior Panthers Basketball Camp is open to students in Kindergarten through 4th grade. Separate sessions are offered for Kβ1st grade and 2ndβ4th grade players.

The camp runs on Sunday evenings in October 2026. Sessions will be held on October 4, 11, 18, and 25.

All Junior Panthers Basketball Camp sessions will be held at Park Terrace Elementary School. 8301 Terrace Road NE, Spring Lake Park, MN 55432
π CAMP SESSIONS
Each one-hour session will focus on age-appropriate basketball fundamentals through drills, games, competitions, and fun activities designed to keep kids moving, learning, and developing their skills.
β€οΈ MORE THAN JUST BASKETBALL
At this age, basketball should be about more than making shots or learning how to dribble. Our goal is to create an environment where every child can build confidence, learn new skills, make connections, and discover how much fun basketball can be.
Every Junior Panther belongs in the gym.

β LEARN FROM THE PANTHERS
The camp will be led by Jeffrey Baskin, Director of Training & Development for the Spring Lake Park Basketball Association, and Jimmy Whitehead, former college basketball player and Training & Development Advisor for the Spring Lake Park Basketball Association.
They will be joined by Spring Lake Park High School boys and girls basketball players, giving our youngest athletes an opportunity to learn from and interact with the Panthers they look up to today β and hope to become in the future.

Who can participate?
Junior Panthers Basketball Camp is open to boys and girls in Kindergarten through 4th grade.
What should my child bring?
Players should bring athletic clothing, basketball shoes, and a water bottle.
Does my child need basketball experience?
No. The camp is designed for players of all experience levels, including children who are brand new to organized basketball.
Who will coach the camp?
The camp will be led by Jeffrey Baskin, Director of Training & Development, and Jimmy Whitehead, Training & Development Advisor. Spring Lake Park High School boys and girls basketball players will also participate.
